Basil Soda Fall Winter 2014 Collection

Experimental is the word of the season. The Fall-Winter RTW 2014 collection from BASIL SODA is an experiment of prints, and material work; with a casual take on the house’s DNA. The atelier was in a painterly mood this season bringing together a touch of illustration to the textiles. Abstract collages alongside linear drawings bring a fun sensibility to the table. A mixture of lush satins, supple leathers and a nod to menswear inspired textiles make up the structure. Another element that came into play was the idea of sportswear and an effortless way of dressing. The abundance of separates this season provides the BASIL SODA woman with a lot more to work with.
Basil Soda's journey began with a specialisation in architecture which lead him back to his first love; Fashion Design. Throughout the years and whatever the country, Basil Soda has always felt at liberty to create. In the year 2000 he decided to embark on his own and establish his Fashion House.

His unique expertise in design and construction has allowed him to master the perfect cut and fit. From his new sanctuary, Basil Soda talks openly of his love of architecture; a favourite subject and constant source of inspiration, from which he has borrowed fine-cut lines, a unity of pace and purity of volume. An aesthetic based on the juxtaposition of two extremes; strength and fragility.  Always playing on the duality of a woman; hopelessly romantic yet mysteriously dark.
The red carpet has created a great outlet to showcase Mr. Soda's work to a greater audience.
Celebrities like Katy Perry, Emily Blunt, Marion Cotillard, Morena Baccarrin, and many more gracing award seasons with their one of a kind Basil Soda creations.
