Hugues Gillibert is the founder of Fitz Partners.
After 4 successful years as Head of New Ventures at Thomson Reuters, Hugues decided to launch Fitz Partners to support the Asset Management industry, by providing a unique source of meticulous calculations of fund fees & expenses. Fitz Partners supports European fund industry participants in their fiduciary responsibilities and cost management efforts, and answers asset managers’ persistent need for consistent and detailed fee data and benchmarks permitting funds operators and boards to conduct accurate reviews of their funds operating fees and other expenses,
A pioneer in fund cost calculation in Europe, from 1996 Hugues developed Fitzrovia International alongside Paul Moulton before selling their well-respected business to Lipper. Under his leadership as a Director of Fitzrovia International, his data team made over 350,000 TER calculations based on a consistent methodology, covering over 55,000 funds worldwide. He has supported Working Groups on fund expenses for both INREV and ALFI, and spoken at diverse Thomson Reuters asset management events. During his time with Thomson Reuters, Hugues setup successful business partnerships in the asset management space in and outside Europe.
When not reviewing fund expenses, Hugues spends any free time with his growing family and supports Rugby Minis at Barnes RFC where he is a founder member of the mini section.
He gained an MSc in Finance from Strathclyde University in Scotland and a degree in European Business Studies from Group ESC Bordeaux in France.
