MINT Polo in the Park has simplified the traditional rules of polo so that newcomers will be able to follow the action without any prior knowledge of the game:
Smaller Polo Field: meaning the action is never far away from the spectator.
The Dash: unique to our event and provides an exhilarating start.
45 Yard Ring: goals scored from outside this line are worth double the pointscompared to a goal scored from within.
Changing Ends: teams change ends only at half time – making the game quicker and simpler.
FRIDAY 7TH JUNE: City Friday – London’s Summer Office Party
MINT Polo in the Park kicks off with ‘City Friday’, with three afternoon polo matches. Bars with direct views of the polo field will be open, along with fresh food outlets and the Luxury Shopping Village.
Corporate guests can dine in style at the exclusive Hurlingham Club before heading across for an afternoon of high-octane polo action followed by afternoon tea.
SATURDAY 8TH JUNE: Ladies Day – The Social Event of the Summer
Sip Champagne in the stylish new Pommery Garden or sample amazing cocktails in the Mahiki Bar. For a relaxed atmosphere head to the Polo Bar, or for the summer traditionalists, enjoy a tall glass of PIMMS at the PIMMS’ Bus and Garden. Hot and cold food is served all day at Kerb Gourmet Street Food and the Luxury Shopping Village may tempt you. This year Club Med KidsTM will provide a fully staffed area filled with inflatable toys, table football, a soft play centre and circus games.
SUNDAY 9TH JUNE: Finals Day – A Fun Action-Packed Day for Everyone
From 12pm to 1:30pm children can participate in a multitude of fun games organised on the polo field and the polo teams will also be available for autograph signing sessions. Polo fans can watch the Final and Plate Final and see the victors being presented with the MINT Trophy and the MINT Plate at the end of day prize giving ceremony.
