Bentley Flying Spur V8 S Bolney Estate English Wine Tour

The next vineyard on the Bentley Flying Spur tour was the Bolney Wine Estate in West Sussex. They are another family run business, who have been experimenting and developing English wines for many years. They are also one of the first, started back in 1972 by Janet and Rodney Pratt. Rodney became interested in producing wine whilst studying Chemistry and Engineering in Germany, spending his spare time learning what he could from German vineyards.

Czech Republic: Singing in Silesia, Mushing in Moravia

Discover excellence off the beaten track in Moravia and Silesia, the little known regions of the Czech Republic.
International eXcellence Magazine went off in search of something different in the Czech Republic, looking for adventure, mountains, history and landscapes. Ryan Air have now started flying direct to Ostrava so it's a quick and easy, if spectacularly uncomfortable  jaunt over Western Europe (it takes skill to make a seat that badly, or is there some deal going on between Chiropracters and Ryan Air we don’t know about!).

Washington DC in 48 hours

We arrived at Dulles airport on Virgin Atlantic's new Airbus 380. It was Friday, late afternoon, and we had less than 48 hours to see Washington DC.  Our hotel, The Liaison Capitol, was welcoming, the rooms a good size and the staff helpful – the service was great all weekend. The hotel is located right by the Capitol Building so our first excursion was to see that renowned centre of political intrigue by night. It was beautifully lit and imposing and we could see stretched before us the Mall, which is where we were heading on Saturday to walk all 21/2 miles of it.

Lord and Lady at Chewton Glen Bar & Restaurant

The Chewton Glen Hotel has a fabulous bar and restaurant and our Lord and Lady reviewed it for International eXcellence whilst staying at the hotel and Spa. As you go through the foyer entrance, past the old staircase to the rooms and the grand piano, the restaurant stretches out along the windows over two rooms overlooking the gardens. Country house comfort and style. But first the bar for a quick refreshment.
