The Machrie Hotel & Links Islay

The Machrie Hotel & Links Islay Review: McLaren 720S Scotland Tour

The Machrie Hotel & Golf Links on the Isle of Islay occupies one of the most stunningly beautiful locations in the world. Rows of stark white buildings set in an emerald baize golf course threaded with sparkling streams between rolling golden hills, seven miles of sandy beaches and a turquoise sea.

The entrance to The Machrie is mile long private road winding past fluffy white sheep and the links golf course.

Cameron House Hotel Loch Lomond Scotland

Cameron House Resort Loch Lomond Review: McLaren 720S Scotland Tour

Cameron House Resort Loch Lomond Review: McLaren 720S Scotland Tour

Ever since reading The Adventures of Tintin "The Black Island" I have wanted to visit Loch Lomond. As fans of Tintin will know Loch Lomond is the whisky brand favoured by Captain Haddock.

This famous lake has stayed with me since, but little did I know that it also boasted an incomparable hotel. I kid you not, this should be on everyone's bucket list, Cameron House Resort on Loch Lomond is utterly fabulous.

McLaren 720S Cameron House Hotel Scotland

McLaren 720S Best Hotels & Whisky Distilleries Scotland Tour

We started our journey in Surrey at 9 am and headed north, basking in the explosive snorts of the 710 bhp McLaren 720S engine. My colleague David and I were pretty stoked about a week in the Scottish Highlands. As Lex Luthor so aptly condescended in Superman II "A good time? Is that all you care about? North, Miss Teschmacher. North!".

Full review of the McLaren 720S.

BMW R18 - Retro Cool

BMW R18 - Retro Cool

Why do we ride motorcycles? I ride because it’s an adventure. It makes me feel good, stirs my soul and makes me happy. I don’t even mind what I ride or where, I just love riding.

BMW Motorrad was kind enough to loan me one of their R18 cruisers for a couple of weeks, so I took advantage and made some memories.

Strictly Ballroom The Musical Review Kevin Clifton & Maisie Smith

Strictly Ballroom The Musical Review

An eye catching, flamboyant set greeted us as we entered the auditorium at G Live and set the scene for a wonderfully camp, kitsch show. The glittery, excitable audience buzzed as the lights dimmed and we were taken back to Baz Luhrmann’s 1992 film and the drama surrounding Scott Hastings (Kevin Clifton) and his new dance partner Fran (Maisie Smith).

One of the most iconic sunglass models in the world, the Ray-Ban Aviator was originally designed for U.S. aviator pilots in 1937. Today it’s a symbol of classic American style and performance quality. For this release, the heritage model gets a total blackout: black metal frame and temple tips with black Polarised lenses. Aviator Total Black is slick, clean and heroically sharp.

Hotel Riviera Collection Façade

ILLUMINATED BY "HOTEL RIVIERA COLLECTION" IN NICE

Opposite the electronic sliding glass door, which forms the main entrance of ‘Hotel Riviera Collection’ in Nice, is the most beautiful art-deco style wrought-iron elevator, around which spirals a staircase illuminated by striking ‘Klein Blue’ walls and abstract black & white carpets, both a constant palette, theme and narrative to be found across the hotel.
