Limited Edition of 200 Pieces. U-Boat Watch Capsule 50 PVD Black BL Limited Edition 8806. Italo Fontana was fascinated by depth gauges from the early 1930s and incorporated their characteristic features into the design of the Capsule watch. These primordial submarines had a rounded shape and porthole windows with water pressure-resistant glass to ensure the safety of the people inside the cabin during the dive. The spherical portholes, made from strong glass, were clamped to the outside surface using a system of levers to ensure water resistance.

The oily liquid, surrounding the dial, transforms it into an absolute black, making it three-dimensional and deep. This fluid creates on the dial an ever-moving compensation bubble. This new version features an innovative locking system (Locking ring system) with quick battery replacement.

The U-Boat watches Darkmoon goes beyond the boundaries of traditional design, combining innovative features with retro style lines. The Swiss electromechanical movement is completely immersed in a low viscosity lubricating oil. The oily liquid flows into the dial making it an absolute and deep black and creates an ever moving compensation bubble that surprisingly amplifies view of the hands that seem to flow free as in the absence of the glass.
