A flashy colour to which Louis Erard adds its touch of harmony, with a hint of colour on the dark blue and polished hands, an ice blue grained calf leather strap with dark blue attachment points and its lining in blue grained calf leather.
Louis Erard Excellence Petite Seconde Terracotta 42mm 34237AA07.BVA25. It is no longer a question of stone, but of earth, of terracotta. The monochrome dial brings out the subtleties of the design, contrasting the circular satin finish on the fine grain of the centre and minute track sections. Highlighting of the snailed seconds counter at 6 o clock. The watch is completed with a dark brown Baranil calf leather strap. With polished stainless steel pin buckle and functional catch spring bars enabling the strap to be changed quickly.

The skeleton seemed perfect for the ghoulish celebration, but the reference was too horological and too conventional vade retro satana! for the iconoclastic designer of seconde seconde. It is therefore a pixelated ectoplasm which has been invited to swallow the second hand and which turns now and until the end of time in its dungeon round sub dial. A bloody touch has been left on the label, in form and in substance: Erard = Horror.

Louis Erard wanted this second opus of Excellence Guilloche Main to be a 100% original creation, starting from the design, and utilising all the resources of artisan dial maker Fehr in La Chaux de Fonds to bring the ancestral art of guilloche engraving to the 21st century. Guilloche is no longer a question of decoration; it’s a subject in and of itself: a large diamond, an ace of diamonds, with a kinetic feel.
