On Thursday February 16, myGwork, a leading global LGBT professional network, offered 75 LGBT university students from London the chance to network with senior LGBT leaders. The list of leaders included:

- Alicia Millar, EME learning and development Manager at Reed Smith
- Daniel Gerring, Partner at Travers Smith
- Scott James Pinder, Senior Retirement Consultant at Willis Towers Watson

As the final preparations were being made for this year’s London Fashion Week from February 17-21, which was being staged in a new venue at The Store Studios located at 180 Strand, I managed to get a glimpse close up of fashionistas last weekend in Covent Garden at an ‘off-schedule’ catwalk show organised by Fashion’s Finest, an online fashion hub and magazine.
 

The Netherlands is blessed with an abundance of incredible cities. Amsterdam obviously shouts louder than the rest, whether you're a devout hedonist looking to take advantage of this veritable mecca of decadence, a keen historian eager to explore the capital's incredible heritage, or an arts buff heading for some of the world's greatest galleries. 

Great milestones such as anniversaries deserve something a little special, such as a beautiful hotel experience, great English countryside, fine dining and lots of romance.
For our 20th anniversary celebration we had chosen to spend the night at South Lodge, a grandiose and impressive country house near Horsham in Sussex. Just under an hour from London, the lodge is set in 93 acres of English countryside and boasts The Pass, a very fine 3 AA rosette restaurant where we were looking forward to dining that evening.

Where to celebrate important milestone anniversaries? IX Magazine decided to look at all the different ways to make the day special and memorable.

Bentley Fragrances launched their new Eau de Parfum for men at the Shangri La at The Shard last night. IX Magazine perused and sampled this great new men's perfume from this exciting and successful brand and found it excellent.

There is always a big question mark when a restaurant you have always enjoyed gains a sibling.  The demands of a chef owner are great but finding the premises and recruiting a team that can recreate the characteristics of the original is a major challenge.  We have been tempted to ask when booking one of a small chain of restaurants if the founder chef is cooking that day as he is an outstanding chef but his skills fall short on recruiting his staff.  It is a shame but we do not take the risk.    
 

Sophie Ellis Bextor is not just a pretty face, though those cheekbones and perfect features are the envy of many a model, she is also balancing a successful pop career with motherhood and glamorous travel.  Mother of 4 boys, she has recently launched a new album, Familia, already receiving critical acclaim and for which she recently made a series of videos in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
The album Familia is based on her love of Latin America, both Mexico and Cuba are cited as her influences, musical, cultural and story wise.

This week marks a milestone for Queen Elizabeth II- she ascended the throne on the 6th February 1952- she has reigned for 65 years, longer than any other monarch in British history and this milestone has been declared her Sapphire Jubilee. Sapphires suit Her Majesty, matching the colour of her eyes and skin tone, so here we take a look at some of the most impressive pieces in her collection.
