An industry once viewed as the pinnacle of ultimate luxury and the preserve of the ultra-wealthy, rich and famous, flying by private jet is now a reality for the mainstream traveller after Stratajet, the world’s first real-time private jet booking platform, held a launch in The City of London late this April with what is described as a “cutting-edge” and revolutionary technology.

It is always the way, to find the best you have to seek it out.  That is quite a job when you are looking for a ski chalet in the world’s largest ski area which comprises so many villages and resorts.  The resorts include Courchevel 1850 with 15 five star hotels, a Milky Way of Michelin stars and a veritable torrent of the premium global brands all competing loudly for attention.  Still looking for the best but in other characteristics is St.

 As spring arrives and many took to the slopes for the last time this Easter, you would be forgiven in thinking that skiing will be the last thought for those booking their luxury holidays. However, the best chalets are in such demand that bookings are being made now for the season to guarantee savvy luxury travellers can enjoy only the finest on their next ski break.  It’s not surprising considering the demand for such properties, as each year chalet design combined with formidable service levels are consistently surpassing expectations in the realms of luxury ski.

There are so many restaurants in London these days that when you recommend somewhere to a visitor to the metropolis you might be forgiven for feeling slightly nervous. At any time of year Ljubljana is a delight. We have just added another time to visit: early December for the St. Nicolas celebrations which lift the city into another dimension. The mix between a religious festival and commercial interests is so much better than in the UK, it is the equal of Antwerp which we had assumed was way ahead of anything we had experienced previously.

Saas Fee obviously gets into the blood as successive generations come to ski in this low-key and very relaxed resort.  The large village is car-free and whilst there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, they are not adorned with the intrusive signage seen all too frequently these days.
