The Open Golf Championship
The Open Golf Championship
The only major men's golf championship held outside the USA provides a thrilling spectacle over a rota of nine different courses. This year the Championship takes place at Royal Liverpool Golf Club, Hoylake; it was last played there in 2006 after an absence of 39 years.
The Claret Jug, or to use its proper name, The Golf Champion Trophy, is presented to each year’s winner of The Open Championship.
