Goodwood's Three Friday Nights Music Festival

Goodwood's Three Friday Nights with The Artful Dodger: A Music Festival of Racing & UK Garage

Goodwood’s Three Friday Nights series has a well-earned reputation for blending top-class horse racing with live music and a lively, festival-style atmosphere. On this particular Friday, the headline act was none other than The Artful Dodger — the iconic UK garage duo — and they certainly delivered a soundtrack that had the crowd moving well into the evening. But while the music was the main draw for many, the night offered so much more: from thrilling on-track action to indulgent food and drink, all set against Goodwood’s picture-perfect backdrop.

FROM JAMAICA WITH LOVE

We arrived at Kingston Airport Jamaica, and the first person we encountered was smiling from ear to ear and this set the tone of the entire trip. We found the locals to be warm, welcoming and always joyous. It is easy to understand why, Jamaica is simply stunning and more so thanks to the glorious weather. What’s not to love?

Film flyer for UFO movie Capel Green

FILM REVIEW: CAPEL GREEN PREMIERE - BRITAIN'S 'ROSWELL UFO' INCIDENT

Uncanny. The alleged UFO incidents at Rendlesham Forest in Suffolk, England, back in 1980 continue to perplex. Spectral sightings, unexplained flying lights in the sky, spooky non-human entities and alien craft landing on a farmer’s field amongst other things are stuff of the X Files and FBI special agents Mulder and Scully.

Prince William Royal - Royal Charity Polo Cup

Royal Charity Polo Cup at Guards Polo – A Day of Royals, Rosé, and Roasting Heat

There are few things that mark the height of the British summer season quite like the Royal Charity Polo Cup at Guards Polo Club – particularly when HRH The Prince of Wales is playing a few lively chukkas and Audi is co-sponsoring the affair. And as someone whose heart (and garage) has long belonged to Audi, it was rather a full-circle moment.

POLISH ART EXCELS AT LONDON'S NATIONAL PORTRAIT GALLERY

Nestled on the third floor of London’s National Portrait Gallery (NPG) between Lord Byron’s amazing decorated folding screen of actors and boxers and a plethora of paintings from the early 1600s art including The Somerset House Conference (1604), one comes across a room of portraits by one of Poland’s most important artists, Stanisław Wyspiański (1869-1907). Critics have widely praised the works.

Motoring Majesty Italy: Emilia Romagna's Motor Valley Festival

In the heart of Emilia Romagna, Italy's revered 'Motor Valley', lies a symphony of speed, sophistication, and savoury delights. As an aficionado of automotive excellence and culinary indulgence, the invitation to the Motor Valley Fest ignited a fervour within me. This was the opportunity for me to embrace my love of chefs, foodie heaven with my newly found enthusiasm for the world of motors. With eagerness mounting, I embarked on a journey to this celebrated enclave, where tradition meets innovation and where the allure of horsepower intertwines with the art of gastronomy.

Why Terry Pratchett Will Always Be Brilliant & Relevant

In the autumn of 1983 a mere 500 copies of the new book by a largely unknown author called Terry Pratchett hit a small number of shops and libraries across the UK. It was called The Colour of Magic, and 500 copies was all that publishers Colin Smythe Ltd, a small company based out of Gerrards Cross in Buckinghamshire, had printed up for the home market. Pratchett’s previous releases, The Carpet People in 1971, Dark Side of the Sun in 1975 and Strata in 1981 had all been well received by critics, but their sales could generously be described as “modest”.
