HAGI is known in the market to produce a series of indices charting the top levels of the classic car market.

Bentley will unleash some of its fastest and most powerful cars at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in July. The flying Bentleys include the 616 bhp (625  PS) and 202 mph (325 km/h) Continental GT Speed Convertible (the world’s fastest four seat convertible) and two of Bentley’s 2003 Le Mans-winning Speed 8 race cars.


Instantly recognisable with their iconic British Racing Green livery, cars No. 7 and No. 8 secured a famous first and second at Le Mans, and are set to make a special reunion ten years on at Goodwood.  Brian Gush, Bentley’s Director of Motorsport, said:

The Bugatti Veyron Super Sport reached a World Record top speed of 431 km/h or 268 mph. However cars shipped to customers are restricted to 258 mph. The Veyron Super Sport has four enlarged turbochargers and bigger intercoolers; the 16-cylinder engine has a total of 1,200 horsepower and 1,106 lb.-ft. of torque. It is the fastest road car in production.

Mercedes-Benz a driving force in the classic car market

New market index reveals Mercedes are classic performers Classic Mercedes-Benz models perform as strongly in the market as they do on the road, according to an international research organisation that has just released the first ever index to comprehensively measure the brand’s value progression. The Mercedes-Benz Classic Index (MBCI), created by classic car market research company The Historic Automobile Group International (HAGI), gained 11.65% in 2012. Moreover, a market back-test to 1980 reveals a solid annual average growth rate of nearly 9%.

The Mille Miglia starts in Brescia in the north of Italy, descends down the east coast to Rome over two days, and then ends with a single day dash from Rome back up to Brescia on the west coast. It is a magnificent cortege of the greatest racing cars and classic road cars ever built. To enter, the cars must have either been in the original Mille Miglia, or a car of sporting history listed in Palmares Winner’s Lists of international significance. This is about as exclusive as it gets even before the costs of the race and the cars come into it.

Yves de Contades at Bentley Launch Continental V8 GT Boujis

The New Bentley Continental V8 GT was launched in Berkeley Square on Thursday with International eXcellence in attendance. The event was organised with Boujis nightclub and featured the Bentley V8 surrounded by myriad flashing and spinning lights. Numerous bars filled the gaps in the HR Owen showroom with a live DJ downstairs and free flowing drinks.
