Casa Baru UK rum launch
Casa Barú UK rum launch
Casa Barú rum has been officially launched outside Panama - in the UK - at the impressive Lucy Wong subterranean cocktail bar in London’s Fitzrovia.
Produced in the heart of the Chiriqui Highlands, whose rich volcanic soil and rainforest climate provide ideal conditions for creating the spirit, Casa Barú uses only locally grown artisanal sugarcane, distilled in traditional copper pot stills and aged in carefully selected oak barrels, with no artificial additives or sweeteners used anywhere in the process.
The resulting rum is now available for the first time to the UK trade, offering customers of Britain’s bars and restaurants a true taste of the Central American country, which can be enjoyed neat or mixed in cocktails.

Bartenders at the launch event at Lucy Wong spent the evening deftly preparing cocktails, including old-fashioneds and daiquiris, with three of Casa Baru’s signature brands: Blanco, offering a delicate blend of fruit, citrus and fresh cane notes; Double Crop, which uniquely marries Panamanian sugarcane with Geisha coffee fruit; and finally Xopa Coffee Liquer, combining the finest Panamanian rum with artisanal roasted local coffee.
Imported to Britain by spirits distributor Highball Brands, each bottle is a true testament to the art of rum-making, perfectly balancing tradition and innovation.
