Lexus Launch The New All-Electric Lexus UX 300e SUV At Cameron House

Lexus recently launched the new Lexus UX 300e. However, the brand doesn’t do things by halves. They pulled out all the stops and hosted the event at the newly refurbished Cameron House Hotel, which is located on the bonny shores of Loch Lomond in Scotland.

Cameron House offers a blend of historical charm and contemporary luxury that is hard to match. The grandeur of this five-star resort, combined with its breathtaking location, created a perfect haven for me as I was seeking relaxation, adventure, and a taste of the finer things in life. 

Upon arriving at the estate, I was immediately struck by the beauty of the surroundings. The hotel, a stately baronial mansion, stands proudly against the dramatic backdrop of the loch and the rolling Scottish Highlands. And the lineup of immaculately presented cars by Lexus parked around the main entrance made for a car aficionado’s dream. The air was crisp, the landscape serene, and the ambience was one of refined tranquillity. Stepping inside, I was greeted by warm wood-panelled interiors, plush furnishings, and a welcoming staff that exuded professionalism and charm. The doormen were dressed in traditional kilts, which is a lovely touch, and their welcome was like coming home, they had great Scottish banter. 

Cameron House boasts a variety of accommodations, from classic guest rooms to lavish suites, each offering a unique blend of comfort and style. The rooms are tastefully decorated in a contemporary Scottish design, with rich tartans, soft leather accents, and elegant touches that echo the natural beauty of the loch and surrounding landscapes. My room had stunning views of the loch, allowing me to wake up to the sight of shimmering water framed by majestic mountains. As it was a front-facing room I also had views of the line up of the range of Lexus and Toyota cars, a lovely sight to behold.

The attention to detail is remarkable. From the plush bedding to the spacious bathrooms equipped with luxurious toiletries, everything felt meticulously curated to enhance my comfort. After a day of exploring the outdoors, nothing felt better than sinking into the soft embrace of the bed.

Of course, a visit to the spa was on the cards, the spa is located a short distance from the main hotel building, I was whisked away to the spa in the Lexus UX 300e, my first spin in this new addition, it was a thrilling drive alongside the dramatic backdrop of the loch.

The spa was exactly as promised; it was an indulgent escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The spa menu features a variety of treatments designed to rejuvenate both body and mind and the serene atmosphere alone was enough to put me in a state of relaxation.

I opted for the 30-minute back, neck and shoulder massage treatment. It certainly did ease my tension and restore balance. From the moment I entered the dimly lit treatment room, with its soothing music and calming scents, I knew I was in for something special. The therapist was attentive and professional, taking the time to ask about any areas of concern before tailoring the massage to my specific needs.

Using a blend of aromatic oils inspired by the Scottish landscape, the therapist applied just the right amount of pressure to work out the knots in my back and shoulders, not an easy task as I spend the majority of the day hunched over my laptop, and carry a great deal of stress and tension in my shoulders. By the end of the treatment, I felt renewed—physically lighter and mentally refreshed. The combination of expert technique, luxurious products, and a peaceful setting made for a deeply restorative experience.

After the massage, I spent some time in the spa’s thermal suite, which includes a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, and steam room. With large windows overlooking the loch, it’s the perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of the surrounding landscape. I didn’t even feel the need to read my magazine; I was just at peace enjoying the stunning scenery without distraction.

After a lovely afternoon of personalised pampering, it was time for a quick change before heading off to the marina for a luxury boat trip on the elegant cruiser, the Celtic Warrior. This is no ordinary boat ride—it was an opportunity to explore one of Scotland’s most famous lochs in the lap of luxury.

Boarding the Celtic Warrior felt like stepping onto a floating VIP suite. The boat is sleek and stylish, with leather seating, polished wood details, and large windows offering panoramic views of the loch and its surrounding mountains. There was a sense of exclusivity and adventure as we set sail across the tranquil waters.

The boat trip was not only visually stunning but also incredibly informative. The captain provided a fascinating commentary on the history and geology of Loch Lomond, pointing out landmarks such as the small, wooded islands that dot the loch, some of which are steeped in local legend. The scenery was breathtaking, with the still waters reflecting the towering peaks of Ben Lomond and the rugged beauty of the Trossachs National Park.

As the boat glided smoothly across the loch, we had the opportunity to indulge in a couple of flutes of champagne, making the experience feel even more indulgent. It was a delightful treat to take in the crisp Scottish air from the deck; the boat trip was a truly magical way to appreciate the natural beauty of Loch Lomond.

Famished we returned to the hotel, for a fine dining experience, we were presented with a carefully curated menu showcasing the best of Scottish cuisine with a modern twist. The dishes were artfully presented, and the flavours were exquisite, featuring locally sourced ingredients from land and sea.

For a more relaxed meal, the Boat House restaurant, located by the marina, offers casual dining with a focus on fresh seafood and seasonal produce. The ambience is cosy and welcoming, with large windows offering views of the marina and the loch beyond.

We were especially lucky as Lexus hosted us in the private dining room, where we indulged in exceptional Scottish fare, and along with the excellent service, it was an unforgettable evening.
