Sleep Like A Queen at Llangoed Hall

Sleep Like A Queen at Llangoed Hall

At Llangoed Hall I slept like a Queen. And ended up scented and shod like one too.
The definite luxury British country house hotel in the Wye River valley amongst the Black Mountains in the mid-Wales countryside near Brecon, has hosted the Clintons and the Clooneys, And less important people like Prince Charles. There is a thank you letter from him hanging in the Grand Hall. Alongside one from John Major.

Navitas Watches - Determination Passion Ingenuity

Navitas Watches - Determination Passion Ingenuity

I would love to start this story with an interesting and true tale about a rich history of watchmaking in my family dating back centuries. But I don’t have one. The truth is that it all started sometime in 2008 with a humble idea to make a watch. Just one watch, designed by me, and built by someone else anywhere in the world. I have an extensive background in machining and product development, but the idea of making a watch by myself did not cross my mind at that time.

Ruby Wax Book: Sane New World

Ruby Wax Book: Sane New World

This is an excellent book. Well worth reading, certainly explains why some people behave so oddly. Also great tips on how to get the most from life and to learn to enjoy every moment. Ruby is one of the most excellent comedians in Britain today and her acerbic wit and humour shine thruogh in this tome to mental instability. Some great inside stories on how television treats people it feels are not as much in demand as they should be. The Celebrity sharks programe with Richard E Grant must have been a hoot. Sorry I missed that.

Chalet N Top Luxury Ski Chalet

Chalet N Top Luxury Ski Chalet

The famous Austrian ski region of the Arlberg includes the resort of Lech which has a charm and tranquillity that attracts rather discerning guests.  It could be described as serving ‘old money’ compared to the more brand aware high profile resorts of Gstaad and Courchevel 1850 where guests like to show their newfound wealth.  Lech was the first resort to limit the number of ski passes on the basis of ‘when is a beautiful mountain not beautiful - when there are too many skiers’.  The skiing is as extensive as you wish to make it as the ski pass can include the nearby world class resort of S

Movies that blew us away at Leeds International Film Festival

Movies that blew us away at Leeds International Film Festival

Last month International Excellence had the pleasure of relocating to Leeds, Yorkshire's (ahem...) shining beacon of urban light, to indulge in a host of exclusive film screenings, premieres and dips into the archives of cinema. Needless to say, as people who eat, sleep and breathe film- in addition to the obligatory combination of food, dreams and fresh air- a good time was had, and had by all at that.

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas…

It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas…

Many feel that wearing jewellery should be confined to special occasions and belongs to the glamour of a bygone age.  Happily many people now appreciate that a stylish and modern piece of jewellery be it a necklace, brooch, earrings, cufflinks or watch can lift the spirits to carry one through a working day.  Widening the scope of craftsmanship in precious metals, a beautiful piece of silver, perhaps to display just a single flower on your dressing table or pour the forbidden cream onto your breakfast porridge, bring immense enjoyment.  When better than Christmas to indulge your loved ones
