International eXcellence Magazine was invited to play in the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open Pro Am with Ian Poulter, as part of the launch of Ballantines new online golf club presenting Ian as the new club Captain.
I spent the weekend before the Pro Am at the driving ranges at Hoebridge and Broadwater, two lovely little Surrey clubs and my golf was in pretty good shape. Mind you I was going to be playing on a tough course with one of the top 25 golfers in the world!

As venues go one would be hard pressed to beat the surroundings of the 5-star May Fair Hotel in the heart of London’s West End just a stones throw from Bond Street and Piccadilly. This historic 406-room hotel located on Stratton Street was first opened in 1927 by King George V and Queen Mary in attendance. A plaque in the foyer records the event.

British Classic Yacht Club Regatta: Commordores Log 1

The BCYC regatta Season is in full swing accompanied by a Gorgeous English summer.
The weekend of the longest day of the year was one marked by a new BCYC regatta in Dartmouth that went off with a wonderful flourish, in light airs, sunshine and racing organised by Royal Dart Yacht Club. This inaugural event with 22 yachts saw Rubicon carry off the Cetewayo Trophy for best placed BCYC boat.
Meanwhile in the Solent thirteen BCYC yachts took part in the RIR, in what turned out to be a long but fascinating sail.
