LEC F1 at Goodwood Festival of Speed

LEC F1 at Goodwood Festival of Speed

One of Formula 1’s forgotten machines, the Lec CRP1, will turn a wheel in anger for the first time in over 35 years at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on June 26-29.
The CRP1, which last appeared at the Thruxton round of the Aurora AFX Formula 1 Series in 1979, and previously put the cat among the pigeons by leading the 1977 Belgian Grand Prix in the hands of David Purley, has been restored by WDK Motorsport and will be driven up the iconic Goodwood Hillclimb by Festival of Speed and Revival regular, Joe Twyman.

Database Business: It Really Is All About You

Database Business: It Really Is All About You

This Time it’s Personal. It Really is All About You
The future of advertising, really the future of all business, social interaction, our quality of life and learning is about to be governed by algorithms. Rubbish I hear you say, we are in control of our lives, decisions, learning and future. Well, not for long unless we look very carefully at how we structure the internet and our collection of personal data over the next few years and tailor the code, that will soon run much of it, with an eye to ethics and quality of life over personal gain.

Kicking Horse Skiing

Kicking Horse Skiing

Kicking Horse: A resort that lives up to its name.
No helicopters are needed to ski over 30,000 vertical feet a day by any social skier whose nerves hold firm.  as he or she will enjoy of the most challenging skiing they will probably ever experience.  There are some 85 ‘chutes’ in Kicking Horse, I would use the more appropriate word ‘drops’ for most runs.  Most of these runs are largely accessed by a single summit gondola lift, a shorter chair ‘Stairway to Heaven’ opens up further breathtaking runs, lift queues are rare.

Whistler Skiing Sets The Standard

Whistler Skiing Sets The Standard

Whistler sets a standard that many other ski resorts have to match; right up there with Aspen and some European resorts but for very different reasons. The main concern for many is the flight; eleven hours but you do not lose skiing time as it is overnight and you are chasing the sun outbound.  Passing through Vancouver airport is quick and the transfer is less than two hours to Whistler, the roads are good and it’s worth keeping awake for the stunning scenery.
