The Ashes

The Ashes

Old Trafford dates back to 1857 and is the home of the Lancashire County Cricket Club. The three-tiered Victorian Members' Pavilion is the last original part of the ground, although it was hit by a bomb in 1940 and substantially rebuilt. Further repairs were carried out after the roof began to leak in 2003. Around four-fifths of the ground's circumference is bordered by stands - the majority single tiered. The seating capacity is 19000.
