Where Alpine Peaks Meet the Art of Wellness

Set the scene
Just 15 minutes from Providenciales airport, at the quiet end of Grace Bay, Wymara Resort + Villas stands out for its modern minimalist styling. When you arrive your eye is drawn to the central palm-tree lined infinity pool and the white-sand beach and turquoise sea beyond. It’s a view that Caribbean dreams are made of.
Two hours drive from London and only 90 minutes by train from London’s Paddington Station, and set, like Jerusalem and Rome, amongst seven hills is the city of Bath (www.visitbath.co.uk). The city centre is fantastically accessible and walking about is a real pleasure both visually and practically. Very at ease with itself with a vibe that’s genteel and civilised and very clean. Here is the Abbey, clean and light with its fan vaulting to heaven, and the beautifully-preserved Roman Baths.
Our last stop on the Audi R8 V10 Tour was the Great Fosters, a Tudor estate just outside Windsor in Surrey.
Great Fosters is the quintessential historic English Manor estate, offering exquisite dining under new head chef Alex Payne. Plus indulgent pampering with massages, afternoon tea packages and luxury suites frequented by kings and queens set in ornate gardens filled with outstanding and immense topiary (hedges sculpted into a variety of forms).
Our final stop on the McLaren 720S International Excellence Magazine Tour was The Roseate Hotel in Edinburgh. They have free parking so we pulled the supercar around the back of the imposing detached Jacobean manor and ambled into reception.
The Torridon Hotel is set on Upper Loch Torridon with spectacular views in the northwest of Scotland opposite the Isle of Skye. Driving to the Torridon is a visual feast of soft rolling orange fern-covered hills peppered with scintillating streams and lakes. It is an area of outstanding beauty and the hotel is the ideal place from which to explore. This is one for the romantics, the perfect venue for a spring, summer or winter weekend.
Great hotel, but the star of the show is the chef Paul Evans. You will surely hear much more of him in the future. Paul was brought in to lift the cuisine to the peak of the Eden Hotel Collection’s trophy hotel; Mallory Court, nearby Leamington Spa. Our dinner was outstanding, it was both innovative but without gimmicks and very accomplished with balances of flavours working in harmony.
