Ducati Desert X

Ducati Desert X - Play Date

Ducati is a brand close to my heart. They are one of the most recognisable and aspirational brands in the world. They have achieved incredible success in both motorsport and on the showroom floor, creating some of the best and most beautiful bikes ever to grace the highways and byways.

I was recently given the opportunity to ride the Desert X and Hypermoto Mono at a Ducati media day, That’s an invitation I’m not going to turn down.

Motoring Majesty Italy: Emilia Romagna's Motor Valley Festival

In the heart of Emilia Romagna, Italy's revered 'Motor Valley', lies a symphony of speed, sophistication, and savoury delights. As an aficionado of automotive excellence and culinary indulgence, the invitation to the Motor Valley Fest ignited a fervour within me. This was the opportunity for me to embrace my love of chefs, foodie heaven with my newly found enthusiasm for the world of motors. With eagerness mounting, I embarked on a journey to this celebrated enclave, where tradition meets innovation and where the allure of horsepower intertwines with the art of gastronomy.

Audi A6 Avant 50 TFSI E Quattro Hybrid

Audi A6 Luxury Chateaux/Villas/Art Tour: Audi A6 Avant 50 TFSI E Quattro Hybrid Review

What better way to test the Audi A6 plug-in hybrid than to take it 3500 miles across France and Spain visiting luxury chateaux, villas and sublime art exhibitions?

One rainy morning I set off, with the Audi A6 hybrid fully charged (39 miles range) and gassed up to the max, headed for Dover. The idea being to test the Avant over long distances for ease of use, mpg, drivability, handling, speed, space and comfort.

Maserati Grecale Trofeo SUV 2024 Review

Trofeo Triumph: Maserati Grecale Trofeo SUV 2024 Review

The Maserati Grecale Trofeo, recently launched in the UK, is a five-seater SUV with a seriously fabulous engine borrowed from the MC20 supercar. It combines everyday family driving with a refined opulent interior and sporting credentials to put a satisfied grin on any driver's face. We took it for a spin to Bath and around the surrounding Somerset countryside, putting it through its paces on and off-road to see if it hits the sweet spot for a luxury brand SUV.

Suzuki GSX-8S

Suzuki GSX-8S Motorbike Review - Less Is More

Less is more is a principle that emerges from the idea that simplicity and clarity lead to good design and a more harmonious life.

Many designers use this expression as a philosophy or inspiration to design things that are simple, yet beautiful. This expression first appeared in a poem by Robert Browning, Andrea del Sarto, in the year 1855.

“Yet do much less, so much less…Well, less is more, Lucrezia; I am judged.”

Honda Xl750 Transalp Review

Honda Xl750 Transalp Review

The Transalp name is one of the most iconic and long-standing names in the adventure bike hall of fame.

It was born in 1987 and was in continuous production right up until 2012 when it finally succumbed to declining sales.

Over the next 10 years, the name lay dormant, waiting and watching as the buying public’s tastes changed and the adventure bike was born again. In 2023 Honda revived the legendary name and boy, they did it justice.
