Everyone going to Lech Am Arlberg goes there for the fun, whether it is for the skiing or those who find there so much else to distract them, they don’t have time to ski. This famous but relatively small village in ski resort terms has hosted many famous guests, most are very discreet but it is well-known that Princess Diana and the Dutch, Monaco and Jordanian royal families have also been frequent visitors.

The beach At Bude Hotel is set high on the cliff overlooking one of the most stunning beaches in Cornwall. I had a lovely evening last night at the superb Bob Bob Ricard, hosted by luxury footwear brand S.Novio and the fabulous team at Pop PR.
The private dining room at the iconic Soho restaurant was buzzing, filled with the great and the good from the industry, from leading Stylists to prominent Magazine Editors. The room was filled with flowers and black balloons in keeping with S.Novio’s distinctive branding, and the designers shoes and boots were prominently displayed throughout.

In the Oxford dictionary luxury is defined as  ‘A state of great comfort or elegance, especially when involving great expense’. It is a fascinating topic as throughout history it always characterised specific levels of societies all around the world. It manifested itself with very different degrees of expressions depending on territory and accessibility to materials that would intrinsically define the luxurious nature of the products.

What an honour to be one of the privileged few to attend the UK Preview of The Phantom Thread at the Royal Festival Hall last week. To make the occasion even more special, we were treated to a live Q&A with the films director Paul Thomas Anderson and composer Jonny Greenwood beforehand, hosted by renowned critic Mark Kermode. The entire performance was accompanied by the London Contemporary Orchestra playing the soundtrack live, which made for a highly unusual but memorable evening.

Roger Munns is a British, Emmy award-winning underwater cameraman, based in Sabah, Malaysian Borneo. Specialising in open ocean and coral reef natural history film-making, Roger was one of the principal cameramen on the BBC’s recent Blue Planet II series. He logged over 600hrs underwater while filming ten different stories for four episodes. Here he tells his story of filming the boiling sea for the BBC program Blue Planet II in his own words.

Amusingly enough Harry is reported to have mentioned her role in the series as his ideal woman, well before he even met her.
