Hana Bushara is a Bermudian singer-songwriter soaking in island life while carrying the potent experiences of living and studying overseas. The 25-year-old has been enamoured by the art of songwriting since she was fifteen. Her mother is from Bermuda and her father is from Sudan. Growing up in a multicultural household was a breeding ground for curiosity about why and how people are moulded into being who they are.
Last month we found ourselves at the AllBright Members Club for an event celebrating Bermuda Day hosted by the Bermuda Tourism Authority and The Telegraph. This new gastro pub is set on a country road in a tiny village in Surrey. As you walk in there is a comfortable long bar to the right and assorted dining rooms off to the left, furnished in oak, green wood panelling and light brown chesterfield sofas and chairs. Plenty of stoves and open fires add colour and ambience.
