Venice Film Festival

The 71st Venice International Film Festival, organized by La Biennale di Venezia, will run on Venice Lido from 27th August to 6th September 2020, directed by Alberto Barbera.

Actress Luisa Ranieri will be the host of the opening and closing events; starting on the evening of Wednesday August 27th, on the stage of the Sala Grande (Palazzo del Cinema on the Lido) for the inauguration ceremony. On September 6th the actress will host the closing ceremony during which the winners of the Lions and the other official awards of the 71st Venice Film Festival will be announced.
