Quarterre Car Designers Look At Sustainable House Design

Quarterre Car Designers Look At Sustainable House Design

Coming back from the summer break with recharged batteries and a suitcase full of souvenirs and good intentions, September always seems to do its best to challenge this with a tsunami of shows. For myself and my colleagues at Quarterre, a transport and product design studio based in London, this has centred around two things this year: The London Design Festival, when the world and its soft furnishings comes to our doorstep and the Paris Motor Show, a veritable Grande Dame of the automotive industry whose glory days might be behind her now but who still knows how to put on a class act.

Sara Pascoe LadsLadsLads Tour Interview

Sara Pascoe LadsLadsLads Tour Interview

• Sara, what is your show LadsLadsLads about? Why is it described as a ‘thinking person’s stag-do?
It’s sometimes hard to summarise what a show is about- but I wanted to give people the sense that it is fun and celebratory- but rather than about being about to get married- the exact opposite. Having fun, trying new things in a way of being braver and more self-reliant. Some of my shows in the past have had serious aspects, theories and research and this one is lighter. It’s like a party, except only I get to talk and you have to sit there watching me.

In Conversation With Griff Rhys Jones About His New Show - Where Was I?

In Conversation With Griff Rhys Jones About His New Show - Where Was I?

Griff Rhys Jones is the star of Not the Nine o'Clock News, Smith & Jones and Three Men In a Boat and a legend in the comedy world. His face to face sketches with Mel Smith were exceptional examples of pure comedy, just two heads on screen chatting and defying expectations with surprising moments of irresistible hilarity. For many years they were the dominant force in alternative British humour along with Rowan Atkinson, Lenny Henry, Billy Connolly and French and Saunders.
