Harley-Davidson 2026 Limited Range

Harley-Davidson 2026 Limited Range

We were recently invited to join Harley-Davidson in Malaga to ride some of the new “Limited” range of motorcycles.

Harley-Davidson boasts a rich and fascinating history, one that elegantly interweaves a celebrated American industrial dynasty with the golden age of the open road and vital service during two World Wars. Originally conceived in a humble wooden shed in Milwaukee, the marque has blossomed into one of the world's most prominent purveyors of luxury two-wheeled travel.

Day 1 consisted of meeting the team at Heathrow and jumping on a plane to Malaga. We arrived at the beautiful Hotel Castillo de Santa Catalina with time to unwind and relax before heading into the product presentation.

Soho Boutique Castillo de Santa Catalina — Moorish Grandeur and Unrivalled Elegance

Soho Boutique Castillo de Santa Catalina is perfectly nestled on a wooded hilltop in Malaga’s upscale El Limonar neighbourhood. It has blossomed into one of the city's most prominent and exclusive 5-star boutique retreats, elegantly interweaving the remnants of a 17th-century stronghold with the opulent glamour of a 1930s Moorish Revival palace.

The hotel offers a chic, romantic ambience, presenting sweeping, uninterrupted vistas out over the Bay of Malaga and the Mediterranean Sea.

As we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted by a row of Harley-Davidson Limiteds, nestled in the courtyard, glinting in the sunshine.

For 2026, Harley-Davidson reintroduced the "Limited" nameplate to replace the long-running Ultra models as its top-tier, long-haul touring machines. The new range includes the Street Glide Limited and Road Glide Limited, Pan America 1250 Limited, and Street Glide 3 Limited trike.

We were fortunate enough to have the Pan America, the Street Glide and the Road Glide to play with.

Once presentations were complete, we all headed to the Port of Malaga at Muelle Uno for dinner at  José Carlos García Restaurante.

Helmed by the visionary, Malaga-born chef José Carlos García, the restaurant offers an exquisite culinary journey.

The restaurant is perfectly nestled right on the dock in the vibrant Port of Malaga at Muelle Uno. It has blossomed into one of the region's most prominent Michelin-starred dining destinations, elegantly interweaving the rich, celebrated heritage of traditional Andalusian and Mediterranean flavours with the cosmopolitan glamour of the coast.

We enjoyed a beautiful dinner, made even better by great company.

Day 2 was our opportunity to ride the bikes on the winding mountain roads around Malaga.

The first bike of the day was the Pan America 1250 Limited.

The Pan America 1250 Limited - Technical Grandeur and Unrivalled Capability

Conceived as the ultimate expression of Harley-Davidson’s expedition-ready prowess, the 2026 Pan America 1250 Limited is a magnificent edifice of modern motorcycle engineering. It elegantly interweaves the marque's legendary touring comfort with the rugged, vital capability required for traversing the world's most demanding terrain.

It is powered by the formidable Revolution Max 1250 powertrain, a liquid-cooled, 1,252cc V-Twin masterpiece that offers flexible, engaging performance. It delivers a potent 150 horsepower (112 kW) at 8,750 rpm and 127 Nm (94 lb-ft) of torque at 6,750 rpm, ensuring effortless momentum whether carving along A-roads or riding along challenging trails. Power is delivered with both refinement and urgency.

This is an incredibly accomplished motorcycle, with a factory-fitted Screamin' Eagle Quickshifter allowing seamless, clutchless upshifts and downshifts, and sophisticated, semi-active suspension. At the front, you have 47mm inverted forks with electronically adjustable damping, whilst the rear features a linkage-mounted monoshock with automatic electronic preload control. The suspension also has Adaptive Ride Height (ARH), an ingenious system that gracefully lowers the motorcycle's unladen seat height to an accessible 815 mm when coming to a halt, providing a reassuring footing for the rider, before automatically returning to its optimal ride height once in motion.

Exquisite appointments and touring capability are what the Pan America is all about. For the keen adventurer, the factory-installed accoutrements are truly heaven.

The Limited arrives fully equipped with aluminium side cases and a top box, designed in collaboration with SW-MOTECH. These provide a cavernous 120 litres of watertight storage.

Wheels & Tyres are anodised aluminium tubeless laced wheels: 19-inch front, 17-inch rear, as standard. These are shod in premium Michelin Scorcher Adventure tyres, and there is a heavy-duty aluminium skid plate, a tubular exhaust guard, and a robust radiator guard.

Harley-Davidson partnered with Brembo to outfit the Pan America with a premium braking setup.

Front Brakes are twin 320 mm floating discs, with Brembo 4-piston monoblock radially mounted callipers.

At the rear, there is a Single 280 mm disc with a Brembo single-piston calliper.

The command centre of the Pan America Limited is a striking 6.8-inch (173 mm) colour TFT touchscreen display, elegantly presenting navigation, media, and telemetry via Bluetooth integration.

Rider safety and control are, quite simply, second to none. The motorcycle is equipped with a rich, cornering-enhanced suite of electronic aids: Cornering Enhanced Anti-lock Braking System (C-ABS) and Electronic Linked Braking (C-ELB), Cornering Traction Control System (C-TCS) and Drag-Torque Slip Control (C-DSCS), Vehicle Hold Control (VHC) acts as a sophisticated assist for effortless incline starts, Daymaker Signature Adaptive LED Headlamp, which works in harmony with auxiliary lights to intelligently illuminate the rider's path deep into corners.

With a substantial 21.2-litre fuel capacity for extended journeys and a purposeful running weight of 299 kg (fully fueled and ready to ride), the Pan America 1250 Limited is a perfectly realised sanctuary for the road less travelled.

Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t kind and punished us all morning with rain and even a little hail. At the turnaround point, we swapped onto the cruisers and headed further up the mountain for lunch.

Hotel Rural Verde Oliva — Timeless Andalusian Charm and Unrivalled Tranquillity

As we arrived via the winding, scenic lanes of the Axarquía, we parked the bikes on the village's main square, the Plaza Balcón de la Axarquíathe, our lunch stop for the day.

The elevated mountain setting provides a distinct and profound beauty. Hotel Rural Verde Oliva boasts a truly magnificent setting, perfectly nestled within the dramatic peaks of Comares, a spectacular, whitewashed village in the beautiful Axarquía region of Málaga. Elegantly interweaving the rich, celebrated heritage of a traditional Andalusian olive oil factory, it is a stunning and deeply romantic rural edifice that offers a chic, peaceful, and authentic ambience, presenting sweeping, uninterrupted views out over the rugged valleys and surrounding countryside from its spectacular rear garden.

With a beautiful lunch out of the way, it was time to jump back on the bikes and enjoy the cruisers for the afternoon. We were even treated to the occasional glimpse of the sun.

The Street Glide Limited and Road Glide Limited - The Kings of the Grand American Highway

The Street Glide Limited and Road Glide Limited are the new kings of the Grand American Touring range. Both are powered by the upgraded Milwaukee-Eight VVT 117 engine, producing 106 horsepower and 131 ft-lbs of torque.

They feature refreshed aerodynamic fairings: Batwing for the Street Glide, Sharknose for the Road Glide, upgraded Skyline OS touchscreen infotainment, Rockford Fosgate audio, and a newly redesigned Grand Tour-Pak.

For those who view the open road not merely as a route, but as a sweeping canvas for adventure, the 2026 Harley-Davidson Street Glide Limited and Road Glide Limited represent the absolute pinnacle of luxury touring. Much like a magnificent country estate, these motorcycles were conceived to offer timeless grandeur, shielding you from the elements whilst providing an unrivalled, first-class travelling experience for two.

The Heart of the Journey: The Milwaukee-Eight VVT 117

Both bikes are powered by the magnificent Milwaukee-Eight VVT 117 powertrain, displacing a cavernous 1,923cc. This V-Twin engine is a masterclass in effortless, characterful drive. It generates a refined 106 horsepower (79 kW) at 4600 rpm, and a monumental 131 ft-lbs (175 Nm) of torque at a low 3,500 rpm. That’s 7% more torque and 14% more horsepowerthan MY24 Limited models.

Enhanced by Variable Valve Timing (VVT), the power delivery is beautifully elastic, ensuring that whether you are, the surge forward is both urgent and unshakeable.

Batwing vs. Sharknose is a subject that has been debated for decades. Whilst both motorcycles share the same capable chassis, their personalities are heavily defined by their distinct, wind-tunnel-tested aerodynamics.

The Street Glide Limited wears the iconic, fork-mounted 'Batwing' fairing. This design offers a deeply intuitive, connected feel at the handlebars, beautifully managing airflow whilst maintaining a classic, picturesque silhouette. For 2026, it has been meticulously refined to shed weight compared to its Ultra predecessor.

The Road Glide Limited boasts the imposing, frame-mounted 'Sharknose' fairing. Because the fairing is detached from the steering assembly, it provides profound stability and isolation from crosswinds at higher speeds. Both bikes have shed weight, too:

Street Glide Limited – Weight reduction of 10.9kg compared to MY24 Ultra Limited

Road Glide Limited – Weight reduction of 5.9 kg compared to MY24 Road Glide Limited model

The Grand Tour-Pak has received the Harley treatment and has been subtly restyled, with flush-mounted LED lighting and a 12-volt charging port. The cavernous storage offers 68 litres of storage and will hold two large full-face helmets.

Both the rider and passenger are treated to lavishly sculpted, heated seating, complete with independent, on-seat controls for tailored warmth. Standard heated hand grips, a new taller touring windscreen, and adjustable fairing lowers ensure the cockpit remains a comfortable haven, regardless of the dramatic weather outside. The focus on long-haul comfort is absolute.

Harley-Davidson have endowed these grand tourers with Skyline™ OS and Audio. Traditional dials have been replaced by a stunning 12.3-inch full-colour TFT touchscreen display. It features embedded 3D navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay, and acts as the command centre for the premium 200-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system. With four strategically placed 6.5-inch speakers (two in the fairing, two in the rear), it delivers crystal clarity at motorway speeds.

To gracefully manage their substantial road presence, both models are suspended by 49mm Dual Bending Valve front forks and premium Showa rear shocks. The rear suspension features a remarkably convenient hydraulic remote preload adjuster, allowing the rider to easily adjust the preload for luggage and a passenger without the need for tools.

Furthermore, they are equipped with a deeply reassuring suite of Cornering Rider Safety Enhancements. This includes Cornering Enhanced Anti-lock Braking (C-ABS), Electronic Linked Braking (C-ELB), and Traction Control (C-TCS), which constantly monitor lean angles to keep the motorcycle perfectly composed when the road changes unexpectedly.

This was a fantastic trip to experience the Harley-Davidson “Limited” range luxury two-wheeled, top-tier, long-haul touring motorcycles on the beautiful mountain roads around Malaga. Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t kind, but this was more of an overview of the bikes, a taste of what is to come.

We look forward to the opportunity of a more intimate test of these luxurious motorcycles in a few months.

Thanks to Harley-Davidson for inviting us, and thanks to the other journalists and the Harley PR team for the great company.
