The 2025 Moto Guzzi V7 Sport owes its existence to the legendary classic 1971 V7 Sport, widely considered one of the most important Italian motorcycles ever made.

This journey begins, as many adventures do, with a nostalgic yearning for home. I grew up in Plymouth and sadly, years, sometimes more, have passed between my visits.

A plan was hatched to make a return trip on the Harley-Davidson Street Glide Ultra. The Street Glide Ultra is made for two-up touring, with a powerful V-twin engine, spacious storage, and has been refined over decades of cross-country riding.

Sometimes an invitation arrives that I clear my diary for, such is my intrigue and thirst for whisky exploration. One such invitation was to attend an event at Canary Wharf where I would be afforded the opportunity to sample the rarest and oldest bottle of Highland Park whisky ever released. Some of the best places to rent and sail a yacht in winter are in the Caribbean, Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, The Bahamas, US Virgin Islands and Martinique. St Barths is probably the most popular over Christmas and New Year for its vibrant nightlife and party atmosphere.

This meant we would arrive at 9.00 in the morning at Male and have the whole day to get over the jet lag and get acclimatised.
