This historic 406-room hotel located on Stratton Street was first opened in 1927 by King George V and Queen Mary in attendance. A plaque in the foyer records the event.

Why Invest in Germany? Berlin and Leipzig!

Why Invest in Germany? Berlin and Leipzig!

Why Invest in Germany? To make money of course!

Last week I attended a Germany Trade & Invest GmbH (GTAI) event at the Victory & Services Club near Marble Arch. GTAI, the foreign trade and inward investment agency of the Federal Republic of Germany, is I confess not a body that I’ve had that much familiarity with prior to meeting their representatives in London. What unfolded was nevertheless interesting and should interest British investors considering ploughing capital into Germany - especially the tech sector in Eastern Germany.

Lord and Lady review The Kensington Hotel in Queensgate, London.
Lord:
The Kensington Hotel is situated in one of the best locations in London, slap bang in the centre of South Kensington at Queens Gate. It was once three separate buildings, then knocked together and renovated for £20 million by the Doyle sisters, owners of Ireland's largest hotel group: Bernie Gallagher, Eileen Monaghan and Ann Roche, all daughters of the late PV Doyle, the legendary hotelier who was famous for his attention to the quality of service in his hotels.
