Excellence is an Attention Powered Car

Excellence is an Attention Powered Car

The RAC of Australia have come up with a unique approach to tackle road deaths due to inattention. The Attention Powered Car. This car requires you to wear a headset that monitors your brain activity, blink rate, gaze rate and eye movement, effectively measuring if you are paying attention or not.
If the driver’s brain activity is low the car will slow down until the driver starts to pay attention again.

Pininfarina - Made in Italy

Pininfarina - Made in Italy

Until now I have never really considered myself a petrolhead, however I must admit that since purchasing my 'new' car, I am as they say 'in love'. The car in question? An Alfa Romeo GTV.
One must always ask the question when buying one of these fine automobiles, should I spend my money on something which is deemed so unreliable?

Une Nuit a Paris - Pullman Paris La Defense Hotel

Une Nuit a Paris - Pullman Paris La Defense Hotel

Needless to say that one night in Paris is never enough, but one night is all that I had time for.
It started with a train journey, and I'm sure you've all sampled the delights of the Eurostar, but in case you've missed out during the last nine years, then I suggest you give it a try. It really is the only way to get to Paris - so very simple and easy, turn up at London St Pancras, settle yourself comfortably into your seat, and a meal and a few drinks later there you are in the centre of Paris.

Loving Lauge Jensen Motorbikes

Loving Lauge Jensen Motorbikes

Yves de Contades hopped over to Denmark to take a look at the bespoke luxury designer bikes by Lauge Jensen.
A quick flight from London City Airport took me to Billund, Denmark, the home of Lego. Legoland was shut that day, however I was here to look at some beautifully engineered, chrome and gold motorbikes rather than the bestselling interlocking plastic bricks and their theme park.

Brazil and the regionalisation of Latin America

Brazil and the regionalisation of Latin America

The process of the regionalisation of Latin America has clearly seen Brazil emerge as the dominant single nation in the region, with some 193 million of a total of 572 million population on the continent, contributing to 40% of the region's total GDP. This massive success is partly  due to the underlying power of the demographic expansion of Brazil, as well as the pragmatic nature of its people, and has taken place despite the less than optimal policies of the country's popular President from 2003-2010 Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
