Perceptions need to be constantly up-dated in a rapidly changing world where new technology and people’s demands are pushing boundaries to ever higher levels.   Before the word ‘Superyacht’ was coined to describe the most impressive yachts, one around 42m. was deemed a ‘big’ yacht.  Now a true Superyacht surely has to be 75m. and even longer.

It’s one of the world’s most discerning motorsport races, attracting the rich and famous for far more reasons than the cars alone. Which is unsurprising, considering where the event takes place.

They say Greece represents many countries rolled into one. From the serenity and tranquility of the mainland’s remote rural regions, to the islands with their picturesque bays and bustling towns, there’s plenty to choose from when trying to decide where to visit. Especially if you have the great fortune to pick Crete.

Whilst much has changed in this corner of Morocco, one thing remain the same- the perennial feeling of escapism, the air of relaxation, and the pervading sense that you’re switching off from normal life completely.

They say ‘see Venice and die’. And whilst it’s true that whoever ‘they’ are say a lot, in that instance  'they' hit the nail on the head in terms of just how beautiful Italy’s city on the lagoon actually is, for us there’s another corner of the country- equally associated with water- that stole our heart first.

If Italy ranks amongst the most beautiful holiday destinations in Europe (and the world for that matter), then Sardinia is the offshore jewel in the country’s crown. An island of unparalleled natural serenity- a place where dolphins guide lazy boats into harbour and life moves at a snail’s pace- it’s understandable it has long been seen as one of the ultimate vacation hotspots. Not least at the luxury end of the market.

Where did you grow up?
I grew up in northern NSW in Australia, close to some wonderful beach towns such as Yamba and Byron Bay, a few hours drive from the Gold Coast and Brisbane, where I went to university.  
How did you start in the luxury travel industry?

Slovenia, Slovakia, Slavonia – it is no wonder Slovenia is not on our holiday destinations’ radar despite its great appeal.  The country is small but its span of characteristics is wide; from the Alps with skiing and wild flowers to the flatter wine lands (plus big areas of hop gardens), as well as a typical Mediterranean coastline.  Underneath, they have magnificent caves at Postojna which is one of the world's largest karst monuments.  Despite all these attractions, they have happily escaped being devoured by over-development whilst they go quietly about their business.   

The Ceredigion coastline of mid-Wales might be a magnet for birders and lovers of saltings as well as fans of UNESCO Biosphere Areas. But it’s not where you should go if you suffer from Ovinaphobia. Or, a fear of sheep. There is one, if not a herd, in virtually every room at Ynyshir Hall.  Everywhere you go in the award-winning “Relais & Chateaux”  ten-room hotel in Powys is likely to incite a panic attack. If you are scared of sheep. They are around every corner And Georgian cornice.
